Phosphor copper mesh is also known as phosphor bronze mesh. The phosphorus added helps to improve its stiffness and wear resistance. It provides superior strength and ductility compared to other materials. So it can be used where fatigue resistance, abrasion resistance and chemical resistance are required. It is widely used in EMI shielding, filtration and sieving, house decoration and shell materials of Faraday cages.

Materials Analysis

Phosphor copper is a non-ferrous copper alloy. Phosphorous bronze has higher fatigue strength and good elasticity and wear resistance. It is mainly used for weaving wire mesh. Good electrical conductivity and low thermal conductivity makes phosphor copper mesh be electrically connected to equipment at ultra-low temperatures without adding excessive heat load. However, it has hot shortness during hot processing and can only receive cold pressure processing.
